Sandia Mountains

We’re excited to introduce our limited edition t-shirt for 2025, featuring the Sandia Mountains. Designed for hikers, climbers, and explorers at heart, this shirt is soft, durable, and perfect for trail days or casual wear.

The Sandia Mountains rise dramatically to the east of Albuquerque, a landmark we look to every single day. Their sheer west face is rugged and rocky, glowing pink at sunset and earning them the name “Sandia” (Spanish for “watermelon”), while the forested east side offers cool, shaded trails that wind through canyons and peaks.

Shaped over millions of years by geologic uplift and faulting, the Sandias are both a striking skyline and a beloved playground for so many Mountain Club members!
